European Tech Analysis

Jobs in the US App Economy

Posted on 19. January 2016 Written by Marcel Weiss

Charles Arthur breaking down the jobs in the app economy in the US alone:

For the job breakdown, it puts iOS at 1.4m (87%), Android at 1.1m (70%), BlackBerry at 107,000 (6%) and Windows Phone/Mobile at 45,000 (3%). Adds up to 166% because some people (two-thirds?) work on multiple ecosystems.

Numbers are according to a study by the progressive policy institute.

Would be interesting to see numbers for Europe.
